The Exhibition will have several sections for you to enter. One of those is ‘Fantastic Fabric’.
We would like you to produce fabric suitable to be made into a garment. This section will be adjudicated by leading Wellington designer, Alison Blain. Alison will also design and make up a garment using the winning fabric.
Conditions of Entry
- To be eligible for this award, fabrics should measure not less than 60 cm and not more than 150 cm in width.
- Fabrics should be at least 5 metres long for widths 60 - 90 cm wide and at least 4 metres long for widths over 90cm.
- All techniques are eligible for selection (woven, felted, knitted, etc).
- The winner of this award will consult with Alison Blain, who will design and make up the winning fabric into a fashion garment for the winner, or for someone nominated by the winner.
- The winner will retain ownership of their fabric so as to retrieve the award. Other fabrics can be for sale, if the entrant wishes.
- “Non-woven fabrics can be entered in 3 lengths of 2 – 2.5 metres.

Yes - the entry forms need to be in by 22 March and the actual entries Tuesday 2nd and Friday 5th April 2013. I have added a link to the festival entry forms to the Exhibition page.
